Zarafa, Selinda Reserve, Botswana

Our ranger was Obe whose knowledge of the area and the animals was particularly remarkable. Despite the dry parched bush, he was able to find a plethora of animals. We came across an enormous jenny (herd) of male giraffes, a wonderful sighting of a leopard relaxing in a tree, and lion with their cubs.

On one of our game drives we stopped into Selinda – Zarafa’s sister camp. This is an equally impressive camp and we were warmly greeted by their staff. I can safely say that Zarafa, Selinda, and all the Great Plains properties remain very high on my list of preferred camps. I know that our clients will be well taken care of and that the game-viewing experience will be phenomenal.

At our final breakfast, we were visited by a lone elephant who wandered into camp browsing on the lush vegetation. We were sad to say goodbye to this camp and their hospitable staff.
