About Namibia

‘Namib’ meaning ‘vast’ is a dreamlike desert landscape. The Namib Desert or the ‘Living Desert’, is one of the largest conservation areas in the world. Unforgiving, harsh, captivating desert yet rich in wildlife.

Desert-adapted populations of elephants dig for subterranean caches of life-sustaining water, and black rhinos, and lions roam the exacting ravines. Rugged, mystical, haunting Skeleton Coast, littered with remnants of shipwrecked hulls, is a gateway to the haunting, desolate hinterland. Massive sand dunes, majestic, vibrant night skies, breathtaking landscapes, and fascinating cultures excite the senses.

Interact with San Bushmen – docents of the desert and the nomadic Himba people. Gaze in wonder upon the unspoiled grandeur of Fish River Canyon – the world’s second-largest canyon. The unique Namibian landscapes create an indelible memory. Namibian lodges, as varied as the destination itself, impart a feather-light step upon the fragile environment.
